Which window survey do you need?
Seven ways to get an independent answer on heritage windows.

Seven instructions, from a digital first opinion to a full estate register. They differ in how the building is examined, what the resulting document is for, and who reads it. Every instruction is quoted in writing before anything begins.
Every service
Every window on record before the works are scoped, with the asset register, condition schedule and repair-or-replace strategy that budgeting, consultation and tender can all run from.
Every opening recorded, graded and written up so a contractor can price it and an officer can rely on it.
What is original, what can be repaired, and what your council will accept.
The measured drawings, glazing details and window heritage statement that a listed building consent or planning application needs.
An independent written assessment from your own photographs, returned within 72 hours.
A desktop review of the policy that applies, and what an officer is likely to accept.
Start with a sample rather than a guess: enough windows, chosen across every type and exposure, to set the scope and budget before anyone commits to the full job.
Which window survey do I need?
Most people need a window condition survey: an on-site, photographed record of every opening, graded for urgency, with a repair or replace recommendation for each. Choose a digital survey instead if you want a first opinion from photographs, a sample survey if the estate is too large to assess in full at the outset, and drawings and consent support once a proposal needs to be drawn and justified.
If you do not know which one you need
Most people do not, and it is not a useful thing to have to work out in advance. Describe the property and what you are trying to achieve, and we will tell you which service fits, or whether you need one at all.
There is no charge for that conversation and no obligation attached to it.
